Signal Separation Based on Knowledge Representation

open access: yesApplied Sciences
The separation of mixed signals typically requires appropriate prior assumptions, while traditional signal separation methods struggle to describe the differences in separation targets with significant features.

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Noise Separation Technique for Enhancing Substation Noise Assessment Using the Phase Conjugation Method

open access: yesApplied Sciences
The intrinsic noise of different transformers in the same substation belongs to the same type of noise, which is strongly coherent and difficult to separate, greatly increasing the cost of substation noise assessment and treatment.

Influence of a roughness length error on vertical wind speed extrapolation for 2D ideal hills using an OpenFOAM® RANS simulation

open access: yesITM Web of Conferences, 2014
In modelling wind flow over a flat and complex terrain, the choice of roughness-length-distribution is critical for accurate wind speed predications. This choice is often made based on the Davenport scale [1].

Design of current signal frequency detecting device based on harmonic separation

open access: yesDianzi Jishu Yingyong, 2019
The frequency detection of current and voltage plays a very important role in the grid-connected control strategy. Large detection errors can cause failure of control algorithms such as phase lock, harmonic compensation and reactive power compensation ...

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Linear theory and velocity correlations of clusters

open access: yes, 2008
Linear theory provides a reasonable description of the velocity correlations of biased tracers both perpendicular and parallel to the line of separation, provided one accounts for the fact that the measurement is almost always made using pair-weighted ...

Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.

List-Decodable Robust Mean Estimation and Learning Mixtures of Spherical Gaussians

open access: yes, 2017
We study the problem of list-decodable Gaussian mean estimation and the related problem of learning mixtures of separated spherical Gaussians. We develop a set of techniques that yield new efficient algorithms with significantly improved guarantees for ...

Momentum errors in an RF separated beam [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The purity of an RF separated beam is affected by the difference in mass of the particle types and the momentum bite of the beam. The resulting time-of-flight difference between different types allows separation to occur; the finite momentum bite results in chromatic aberration.
