Computer simulation and measurement of error vector magnitude (EVM) and adjacent-channel power ratio (ACPR) for digital wireless communication RF power amplifiers

Gateway to 21st Century Communications Village. VTC 1999-Fall. IEEE VTS 50th Vehicular Technology Conference (Cat. No.99CH36324), 1999
Computer simulation and measurement of the error vector magnitude (EVM) and the adjacent channel power ratio (ACPR) of a 2.4 GHz MMIC power amplifier (PA) for digital wireless communications is presented. A computer simulation based on the /spl pi//4-DQPSK modulation with square-root raised cosine (SRRC) filter is established for this study.

Uncertainty and design budgets applied to error vector magnitude (EVM) for digital modulation systems

61st ARFTG Conference Digest, Spring 2003., 2004
EVM is a key metric for RF components and subsystems in most digital modulation systems. Understanding the way in which different distortion mechanisms contribute to the overall EVM is the key to determining how to construct a system budget for EVM.

THE EFFECT OF RADIO FREQUENCY INTERFACE IMPERFECTIONS ON THE ERROR VECTOR MAGNITUDE (EVM) IN LTE AND 5G SYSTEMS

Proceedings of XVII International Conference Measurement and Control in Complex System (MCCS-2024)
The development of telecommunications proceeds by increasing the speed of information transmission, improving the quality of communication, and providing new services. Modern mobile phones have a transmitter and a receiver located in the same housing. Double frequency conversion is used to transfer the spectrum of signals from the main frequency band ...

Built-in Self Test (BIST) for Error Vector Magnitude (EVM) Measurement of RF Transceiver

2009
In wireless systems, the overall quality of transmission and reception is determined by various baseband and RF system specifications. The error vector magnitude (EVM) is a measure of the digital modulation quality of the wireless system-under-test which is very sensitive to much impairment in the transceiver. However the EVM test takes a long time and
