Summary In a series of seventy-two cases of erythroblastosis fetalis there were twenty-fivedeaths with twenty-one autopsies. Four of the surviving patients have mental retardation. An unfavorable outcome was associated with the clinical or pathologic signs of kernicterus in twenty cases.
