Nordic Journal of Botany, Volume 2026, Issue 2, February 2026.We describe Stachytarpheta forzzae, a new species from an inselberg located in the municipality of Guaratinga, state of Bahia, within the Brazilian Atlantic forest. Morphologically, it resembles S. sprucei, the only other species of the genus known to inhabit inselbergs.

Ischemic Stroke in a Talapoin Monkey (Miopithecus talapoin)
Journal of Medical Primatology, Volume 55, Issue 1, February 2026.ABSTRACT A captive senile talapoin monkey (Miopithecus talapoin) developed sudden neurological signs and died within 24 h. Necropsy revealed an extensive infarct in the right hemisphere, from occipital to frontal lobe. Microscopy showed a thrombus, neuronal edema, and necrosis, and arteriosclerosis, characterizing an ischemic stroke.
