Plant Trait Matching Occurs in Facilitative Interactions Across Global Drylands
ABSTRACT Aim Plant functional traits can influence interaction outcomes between nurse and target plants through a “functional trait match”, which occurs when the traits of nurse plants ameliorate their environment, and target plants possess traits that allow them to benefit from this ameliorated environment.

Plasma‐flash sintering II: Flashing ZnO at room temperature using low AC voltage
Abstract In this study, we have advanced the plasma‐flash sintering (PFS) technique by demonstrating the preparation of dense ZnO ceramics at room temperature using a moderate electric field of 250 V cm−1 under a low‐pressure nitrogen atmosphere. This specific environment facilitates the sequential occurrence of plasma generation followed by the flash ...

ABSTRACT Background Alcohol‐associated liver disease (ALD) is a leading cause of liver‐related morbidity and mortality, yet effective therapeutic options remain limited. Preclinical data suggest that modulation of the hepatic endocannabinoid system, particularly via cannabidiol (CBD), may reduce alcohol‐induced liver injury.

ABSTRACT How barriers to gene flow arise between closely related species is one of the oldest questions in evolutionary biology. Classic models in evolutionary biology predict that negative epistatic interactions between variants in the genomes of diverged lineages, known as hybrid incompatibilities, will reduce viability or fertility in hybrids.
