Efficacy and Safety of Gel Immersion Endoscopic Mucosal Resection for Gastric Neoplasms in Patients With Familial Adenomatous Polyposis: A Multicenter Retrospective Study

open access: yesDEN Open, Volume 6, Issue 1, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives Approximately 10%–30% patients with familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) develop gastric neoplasms (GNs). Although recent reports have suggested the effectiveness of gel‐immersion endoscopic mucosal resection (GI‐EMR) for FAP‐associated GNs, given its simplicity and safety, treatment outcomes for such lesions have not been evaluated.

Evaluating the Additional Value of Endoscopic Ultrasonography for Depth Assessment of Esophagogastric Junction Adenocarcinoma

open access: yesDEN Open, Volume 6, Issue 1, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives Endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) is sometimes used to assess the depth of invasion in esophagogastric junction adenocarcinoma (EGJA); however, its diagnostic performance in EGJA remains unclear. This study aimed to evaluate the additional value of EUS to conventional endoscopy (CE) in assessing invasion depth. Methods In this single‐

Is Single‐Session Peroral Endoscopic Myotomy With Fundoplication Safe and Effective in Achalasia? A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesDEN Open, Volume 6, Issue 1, April 2026.
This meta‐analysis of nine studies (202 patients) demonstrates that peroral endoscopic myotomy with fundoplication (POEM‐F) achieves a technical success of 94.8% and significant symptom improvement (Eckardt score reduction from 8.3 to 1.1). Post‐procedural esophagitis occurred in 20.7% and wrap integrity was preserved in 75.7% on follow‐up, supporting ...

A Machine Learning‐Optimized Immunogenic Cell Death Signature Reveals Tumor Immunogenicity and the Immunotherapy Response of Pancancer

open access: yesMedComm – Future Medicine, Volume 4, Issue 4, December 2025.
This study introduces an innovative adversarial validation (AV) strategy integrated with machine learning to mitigate the problem of data set shift and enhance analyses of pan‐cancer immunogenicity. It identifies key immunogenic cell death‐related biomarkers and demonstrates their predictive potential for survival outcomes and responses to PD‐1 ...
