Electrophysiological Characteristics of Atrial Fibrillation Trigger Sites During Ongoing Atrial Fibrillation Using Ultra‐High‐Resolution Mapping

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 3, June 2026.
AF trigger sites exhibited a markedly shorter minimum local cycle length during ongoing AF, suggesting transient rapid activity. Ultra‐high‐resolution mapping during ongoing AF may provide complementary mechanistic information when conventional trigger mapping is inconclusive.

Efficacy of a Novel Ablation Index Algorithm for Cavotricuspid Isthmus Ablation Using a Flexible‐Tip Ablation Catheter

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 3, June 2026.
AutoMark Index (AI) is a novel ablation algorithm that combines contact force, radiofrequency current, and application to provide real‐time lesion formation. AI‐guided CTI ablation protocol is efficient in shortening RF duration for acute bidirectional CTI block and CTI procedure time compared to the conventional 40 W ablation protocol.

Entrance‐Site Ablation in Atrial Tachycardia Involving Epicardial Conduction: A Case Series

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 3, June 2026.
In patients with AT involving epicardial conduction, a systematic entrainment‐guided approach to identify and ablate the entrance site proved effective when conventional exit‐site ablation was insufficient. ABSTRACT Background Treatment of atrial tachycardia (AT) involving epicardial conduction remains challenging.

Neurodevelopmental assessment at 24 months in infants with esophageal atresia: A prospective cohort study

open access: yesJournal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, Volume 82, Issue 6, Page 1386-1393, June 2026.
Abstract Objective To evaluate neurodevelopment at 24 months in infants surgically treated for esophageal atresia (EA), using the ages and stages questionnaire (ASQ), and identify perinatal and early‐life factors associated with developmental delay. Methods Infants with EA were prospectively enrolled in a structured multidisciplinary follow‐up program.

Anterolateral‐Thigh Fascia Lata Free Flap Versus Fibula Free Flap for Mandibular Osteoradionecrosis

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, Volume 136, Issue 6, Page 2565-2572, June 2026.
The anterolateral thigh fascia lata “rescue” free flap has been employed as a novel tool in the treatment of advanced partial thickness mandibular osteoradionecrosis. Compared with the traditional fibula free flap for the same indication, the “rescue” flap provides similar outcomes in terms of disease resolution, superior functional outcomes, and ...

Demographic and Comorbidity Associations With Disease Severity and Bony Dehiscence in AFRS

open access: yesLaryngoscope Investigative Otolaryngology, Volume 11, Issue 3, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective(s) The purpose of this study is to explore and describe possible demographic factors and comorbidities as they relate to disease severity of allergic fungal rhinosinusitis (AFRS) on initial presentation. Methods A retrospective review was conducted on 153 patients with AFRS seen at a tertiary care center. Demographics, comorbidities,

Comparison of Quality of Life After Transoral Robotic and Transoral Videolaryngoscopic Surgeries for Head and Neck Cancer

open access: yesLaryngoscope Investigative Otolaryngology, Volume 11, Issue 3, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives Transoral robotic surgery (TORS) and transoral videolaryngoscopic surgery (TOVS) have been increasingly adopted for the treatment of head and neck tumors. However, their effectiveness and the differences in their effects on postoperative quality of life (QOL) have not been established.

Obesity and New‐Onset Asthma Risk in Chronic Rhinosinusitis: A Population‐Based Cohort Study

open access: yesLaryngoscope Investigative Otolaryngology, Volume 11, Issue 3, June 2026.
This population‐based cohort study used the TriNetX U.S. Collaborative Network to evaluate the association between body mass index and subsequent asthma outcomes among adults with chronic rhinosinusitis. Elevated BMI was associated with a dose‐dependent increase in risk of new‐onset asthma and asthma exacerbations across 1‐, 2‐, and 5‐year follow‐up ...

Oropharyngeal Dysphagia Assessment in Behçet Disease Using EAT‐10 and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing

open access: yesLaryngoscope Investigative Otolaryngology, Volume 11, Issue 3, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective To provide a preliminary symptom‐based and standardized single‐consistency FEES screening assessment of swallowing in adults with Behçet disease using the Eating Assessment Tool‐10 (EAT‐10) and fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES).
