This study identifies new senescent cell antiapoptotic pathways (SCAPs) by analyzing transcriptomic signatures and co‐expression networks. We uncover novel antiapoptotic pathways, called SCAPs, and propose potential senolytic drugs, including Fluorouracil, which targets key SCAPs.

This study explored serosa‐associated lymphoid clusters in rat pleura (pSALCs), identifying their distribution and categorizing them into four morphological types. Data provided by this study form the basis for future morphological comparisons with humans and the potential to extrapolate functional characteristics of pSALCs from experimental studies in

The novel manometric parameter Milan Score could be useful in predicting which patients with type 2 EGJ have a high likelihood of objective GERD, therefore discriminating which patients may need escalation of GERD investigation and management. ABSTRACT Introduction High‐resolution manometry (HRM) allows assessment of esophagogastric junction (EGJ ...

Expanding Training Data for Endoscopic Phenotyping of Eosinophilic Esophagitis [PDF]
Eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) is a chronic esophageal disorder marked by eosinophil-dominated inflammation. Diagnosing EoE usually involves endoscopic inspection of the esophageal mucosa and obtaining esophageal biopsies for histologic confirmation.

Patients with isolated LPS demonstrated a lower likelihood of EGJ disruption, pathologic GERD, and abnormal Milan score. The Milan score performed similarly well in the identification of GERD in both LPS and typical symptoms. The Milan score could therefore be used as an upfront test in LPS patients.

DGBI symptoms are common in obesity and have the potential to exacerbate negative health outcomes. In general, the prevalence of DGBI symptoms decreases after obesity treatment, but patients can also shift from one GI symptom profile to another. ABSTRACT Background & Aims Disorders of gut‐brain interaction (DGBI) in obesity could impair health outcomes.

Spastic and hypercontractile esophageal motor disorders can cause retrosternal pain and/or dysphagia but may be missed by short‐term high resolution manometry (HRM). 24‐h‐HRM detected considerable circadian variability of esophageal contractility and markedly increased the percentage of patients diagnosed with a major motor disorder.
