COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Experimental Esophagitis in Cats Impairs Lower Esophageal Sphincter Pressure
We studied the effect of esophageal inflammation on lower esophageal sphincter (LES) pressure in cats by measuring LES pressure and taking mucosal biopsies before and after the development of experimental esophagitis, as well as after a 3 1/2-week recovery period.

Objectives Sjögren's disease is an autoimmune disorder that can impact multiple organ systems, including the peripheral nervous system (PNS). PNS manifestations, which can exist concurrently, include mononeuropathies, polyneuropathies, and autonomic nervous system neuropathies. To help patients and providers in the decision‐making process, we developed

Intraluminal Pressures Generated During Esophageal Bougienage
Although esophageal bougienage is a widely used palliative procedure for both benign and malignant esophageal strictures, little is known about the pressure generated or applied to the esophageal wall during this procedure. Accordingly, water-perfused catheters were radially implanted into Maloney dilators to monitor esophageal wall pressure in 13 ...

Determinants of the esophageal-pleural pressure relationship in man.
BACKGROUND Esophageal pressure has been suggested as adequate surrogate of the pleural pressure. We investigate after lung surgery the determinants of the esophageal and intrathoracic pressures and their difference.

MAGTWIST: A compact magnetic rotary actuator, enabling smooth, stepless rotation, and on‐demand locking. Inspired by peristalsis, a soft polymer belt generates a traveling‐wave, enabling 270° rotation when heated. Cooling stiffens the belt, locking it in position and enabling it to withstand high loads.
