Non-Invasive Positive Pressure Ventilation in Acute Hypercapnic Respiratory Failure: Ten-Year’s Clinical Experience of a Respiratory Semi-Intensive Care Unit [PDF]
BackgroundAlthough several prospective controlled randomizedtrials demonstrated the success of non-invasive positive pressure ventilation (NIPPV) in selected cases of acute hypercapnic respiratory failure (ARF) in setting with different care levels ...

Identification and classification of plant diseases using a deep learning approach: A survey [PDF]
The loss of agricultural yields is often attributed to plant diseases that affect crops.Early detection and effective control of these diseases remain a major challenge for farmers, leading to substantial yield losses that pose a threat to a growing ...

ABSTRACT Objective Cognitive decline is a disabling and variable feature of Parkinson disease (PD). While cholinergic system degeneration is linked to cognitive impairments in PD, most prior research reported cross‐sectional associations. We aimed to fill this gap by investigating whether baseline regional cerebral vesicular acetylcholine transporter ...

Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries

Melt Grafting of Geometry‐Tailored Voltage Stabilizers for High‐Performance Polypropylene Insulation
A scalable one‐step melt grafting strategy is developed to enhance the dielectric properties of isotactic polypropylene by covalently incorporating thermally stable aromatic voltage stabilizers. This solvent‐free approach improves volume resistivity and DC breakdown strength through deep trap formation and charge localization, offering a sustainable ...

Predicting Atomic Charges in MOFs by Topological Charge Equilibration
An atomic charge prediction method is presented that is able to accurately reproduce ab‐initio‐derived reference charges for a large number of metal–organic frameworks. Based on a topological charge equilibration scheme, static charges that fulfill overall neutrality are quickly generated.

This study presents a new hole transporting material (HTM) mechanism for self‐assembled monolayers in near‐infrared organic photodetectors. The formation of zwitterions induces a strong electric field that significantly increases the work function of HTM‐coated indium tin oxide substrates. The devices exhibit low dark current and noise, along with high
