Dual Impact of Long‐Lived Localized Carriers Induced by Restricted Hole Transfer in Organic Photovoltaics and Photocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution

This work clarifies why organic semiconductors perform differently in photovoltaic devices and photocatalytic nanoparticles. By examining D18:Y5 and PM6:Y6 systems, we show how aggregation, exciton lifetime, and interfacial charge transfer behavior govern energy‐conversion pathways.

Peroxide‐Assisted Solvate Engineering Enables Record‐High Birefringence in a Solar‐Blind Transparent Crystal

H2O2‐directed solvate engineering reorganizes ∞[4HP] (4‐hydroxypyridine) chains from a crossed arrangement into a nearly parallel packing through strengthened hydrogen‐bonding interactions. Fundamental Understanding of Oxidative Stability in Fluorinated Asymmetric Ethers for Li Batteries

To improve Li‐metal battery electrolytes, we analyze fluorinated 1‐ethoxy‐2‐methoxyethane (FxEME) oxidative stability via density functional theory (DFT) and molecular dynamics (MD). Fluorination strengthens ethoxy C–H bonds and alters solvent orientation at the cathode, weakening interfacial interactions.
