Local Acidity as a Corrosiveness Descriptor of Fluorinated Ether Solvents in Lithium–Metal Batteries
Adjusting the extent of solvent fluorination reveals a trade‐off between the solvation power and solvent acidity of electrolytes for lithium–metal batteries (LMBs). F4MEP is within the optimal window and balances anion‐rich solvation with suppressed Li corrosion for stable interphase formation to extend the cycle life of LMBs.

Orchestrating Anion–π+ Interactions to Accelerate Metal‐Free Room‐Temperature Phosphorescence
Tuning anion–π+ interactions in pyridinium iodide contact ion pairs enables ultrafast metal‐free room‐temperature phosphorescence (540–605 nm) with radiative rates up to 5.2×105 s−1. Strong iodide→π+ charge‐transfer coupling, enhanced spin–orbit interactions, and dynamic ion‐pair organization accelerate intersystem crossing and emission, establishing ...

Speed Control of Single Molecules on a Surface
The speed of a single molecule moving across a silver crystal surface is determined with the tip of a scanning tunneling microscope (STM). Travelling distances Δx and travelling times Δt, which are determined simultaneously with high precision, allow to directly measure time–distance relationships.

Severe Phenotype in an Indian Family With Progressive Pseudorheumatoid Arthropathy of Childhood
ABSTRACT Progressive pseudorheumatoid arthropathy of childhood (PPAC) is a rare autosomal recessive progressive condition that affects the cartilage of joints and bones. The symptoms of PPAC include stiffness of the joints, bony swelling of the toes and fingers, short stature, kyphosis, and muscle weakness.
