The Esprit Algorithm With Higher-order Statistics

Workshop on Higher-Order Spectral Analysis, 2005
We address in this paper the bearing estimation problem of sources from array measurements for signal environments where the signal is non-Gaussian and the additive noise sources are colored (spatially correlated) Gaussian with unknown second-order statistics.

A fast implementation of the ESPRIT algorithm

International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2002
A fast implementation of the ESPRIT algorithm, incorporating parallel processing, is described. ESPRIT is a novel, subspace fitting, parameter estimation algorithm which is used for obtaining high-resolution, unbiased estimates of the frequencies and powers of complex sinusoids in noise.

Error Estimates for the ESPRIT Algorithm

2017
Let \( z_{j} \,:=e^{fj}\, (j=1,\ldots,M) \) with \( f_{j} \, \epsilon \, [-\varphi, \,0] + {\rm i}[-\pi, \,\pi) \) and small φ ≥ 0 be distinct nodes. With complex coefficients \( c_{j} \neq \,0 \), we consider an exponential sum \( h(x)\, :=c_{1} \,e^{f_{1}\, x} + \,\ldots \, + c_{M}\, e^{f_{M} \, x} (x \geq 0) \).

Fast recursive subspace adaptive ESPRIT algorithms

IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 1998
A class of fast recursive ESPRIT algorithms for adaptive (on-line) source localization based on subspace tracking and adaptive rank reduction is introduced. These adaptive ESPRIT algorithms can be used for on-line tracking of r maneuvering sources in space using the output of an N-element sensor array, where N>2r. The fastest of our algorithms requires

Comparison between ESPRIT Algorithm and Three-Stage Algorithm for PolinSAR

2010 International Conference on Multimedia Technology, 2010
This paper presents a polarimetric SAR interferometric SAR data analysis based on ESPRIT algorithm and three-stage inversion algorithm. The formulations of ESPRIT algorithm and three stages inversion algorithm are presented firstly. The experimental results based on ESPRIT algorithm and three-stage algorithm have been compared and analyzed then. And we

The interpolated ESPRIT algorithm for direction finding

17th Convention of Electrical and Electronics Engineers in Israel, 2002
The technique of interpolated arrays is applied to ESPRIT-type direction finding methods. The resulting method uses sensor arrays with arbitrary configuration, thus eliminating the basic restrictive requirement of ESPRIT for two (or more) identical arrays.

Performance analysis of ESPRIT, TLS-ESPRIT and Unitary-ESPRIT algorithms for DOA estimation in a W-CDMA mobile system

First International Conference on 3G Mobile Communication Technologies, 2000
The performance of ESPRIT, TLS-ESPRIT and Unitary-ESPRIT for direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation is evaluated in terms of the mean DOA error. The algorithms are applied at a base station (BS) on the uplink of a W-CDMA (wideband-code division multiple access) signal transmitted by a mobile station (MS) in a number of representative propagation ...

UCA-ESPRIT algorithm for 2-D angle estimation

WCC 2000 - ICSP 2000. 2000 5th International Conference on Signal Processing Proceedings. 16th World Computer Congress 2000, 2002
The uniform circular array UCA-ESPRIT algorithm for 2-D angle estimation is researched in this paper. The element space manifold is transformed into the beamspace manifold via phase mode excitation for UCA. The eigenstructure-based estimation algorithm UCA-ESPRIT can be employed in beamspace.

A modified ESPRIT algorithm for signal DOA estimation

IET International Conference on Communication Technology and Application (ICCTA 2011), 2011
We propose a new algorithm to estimate the 2-D direction of arrival (DOA) of narrowband sources lying in the far field of the array. The algorithm requires no reference signal, which consists of two stage processes. The algorithm of the first stage using the method of ESPRIT acquires data. At the second stage, the method using the space-time DOA matrix

Real-Value Space ESPRIT Algorithm and Its Implement

2006 International Conference on Wireless Communications, Networking and Mobile Computing, 2006
Real-value space ESPRIT (RVS-ESPRIT) algorithm transforms complex data into real data, via constructing real-value transformation, so as to reduce computation, through rearranging data and forward-backward averaging improves the performance and precision of estimating parameter.
