Biomedical research involving United States Veterans continues to advance healthcare beyond the Veterans Health Administration. This is particularly true in rheumatoid arthritis (RA), where Veteran‐centric research has uncovered novel insights into pathogenesis, risk factors, and disease manifestations, informing clinical care and research across both ...

Objective To investigate the association between frailty and cancer incidence and mortality in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The study aimed to identify how frailty influences cancer risk, and cancer‐specific outcomes. Methods This retrospective cohort study analyzed data from the Veterans Affairs Rheumatoid Arthritis (VARA) registry (2002 ...

Soil Moisture: An Essential Climate Variable in Indian Monsoon Regime
Soil moisture as an essential climate variable is studied using regional climate model and has been assessed over Indian climatic zones in Indian monsoon regime. NCEP/NCAR Reanalysis Project 2 data from 1985-1995 are used as boundary conditions to a regional climate model. The model is run on JJAS seasonal scale and analysis is only for the JJAS season

Influence of Test Temperature and Test Frequency on Fatigue Life of Aluminum Alloy EN AW‐2618A
The influence of test temperature and test frequency on the fatigue life of EN AW‐2618A is investigated. High‐cycle fatigue tests are performed at different test temperatures and frequencies on the 1000 h/230°C overaged state. Both test parameters reduce fatigue life due to time‐dependent damage mechanisms.

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Cryospheric long-term timeseries get increasingly important. To document climate-related effects on long-term viscous creep of ice-rich mountain permafrost, we investigated timeseries (1995–2022) of geodetically-derived Rock Glacier Velocity (RGV), i.e ...

Solvate ionic liquids lubrication reduced the coefficient of friction by ∼60% compared to dry sliding, reaching steady‐state values as low as 0.04–0.05. Corrosion weight‐loss measurements in 1 M HCl further demonstrated significant inhibition behavior, with only 100 ppm of [Li(G3)][TFSI] (∼68.5 μL/L) reducing corrosion‐product weight loss by 63 ...
