Biodiversity‐driven spatial conservation planning to delineate temporally stable regions

open access: yesConservation Biology, EarlyView.
Abstract The accelerating loss of biodiversity underscores the critical need for effective conservation strategies, particularly in the face of climate change and anthropogenic pressures. We devised a conservation planning framework that adopts a temporal stacking approach to species distribution models and landscape connectivity analyses. These models

David Hume y las condiciones de la estabilidad política

open access: yesTópicos, 2013
In this paper, Hume's ideas concerning the necessary conditions for political estability and progress are discussed. Furthermore, it is showed how Hume, in base of his personal 'conservative' understanding of politics, has offered a sharp examination of ...

Informal supply chains of wild meat from rural Amazonia and food security in an urban center

open access: yesConservation Biology, EarlyView.
Abstract Iquitos, the most populated city in the Peruvian Amazon, is a hub in the regional supply chain of wild meat and supplies urban consumers. Studies on wild meat consumption have focused primarily on markets, limiting the scope of species considered to those that are economically valuable and potential inferences from those data.

From species lists to interactions: Network structure, not richness, guides seed dispersal management in human‐modified islands

open access: yesJournal of Applied Ecology, Volume 63, Issue 5, May 2026.
Our findings show that management strategies can create fundamentally different seed dispersal regimes, even under similar environmental conditions. Anthropogenic diversification reshapes network organisation into distinct structural configurations, rather than consistently enhancing overall cohesion.

DEVELOPMENT AND CHARACTERIZATION OF FOLIC ACID MICROPARTICLES FORMED BY SPRAY-DRYING WITH GUM ARABIC AND MALTODEXTRIN

open access: yesVitae, 2009
The folic acid is an essential vitamin, it is involved in the essential aminoacids biosynthesis and some process associated to DNA. Folic acid undergoes degradation reactions when is exposed to light, acid or alkaline medium and oxygen atmosphere.

Vegetal residue‐based formulation of Trichoderma ossianense, a new indigenous vineyard species adapted to alkaline pH with potential biocontrol ability against Black‐foot disease pathogens

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 82, Issue 4, Page 2910-2924, April 2026.
The study identifies Trichoderma ossianense, was can be isolated from grapevine roots, is capable of growing at alkaline pH and controls black‐foot pathogens, highlighting the vegetal residue‐based formulations that preserve its viability. Abstract BACKGROUND Fungi of the Trichoderma genus are used in vineyards as biological control agents mainly ...

Evolutionary mobility and genetic dynamics of MORFFO genes: shuttling among ancient plant lineages

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 250, Issue 2, Page 1248-1264, April 2026.
Summary Plastid genomes (plastomes) of land plants are characterized by their architectural and genic content stability. However, fern plastomes exhibit unexpected dynamism, characterized by the presence of mobile protein‐coding genes (CDS) – Mobile Open Reading Frames in Fern Organelles (MORFFOs). We investigate the evolutionary dynamics of MORFFOs in
