Bayesian Estimations under the Weighted LINEX Loss Function Based on Upper Record Values

open access: yesComplexity, 2021
The essential objective of this research is to develop a linear exponential (LINEX) loss function to estimate the parameters and reliability function of the Weibull distribution (WD) based on upper record values when both shape and scale parameters are ...

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Estimating the Consumption Function of Consumer Goods in Iran [PDF]

open access: yesفصلنامه پژوهش‌های اقتصادی ایران, 2003
Consumption function explains the relationship between consumption expenditures and income. This study aims to estimate the aggregate consumption function in Iran during 1974-1998.

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

A comparative study of R functions for clustered data analysis

open access: yesTrials, 2021
Background Clustered or correlated outcome data is common in medical research studies, such as the analysis of national or international disease registries, or cluster-randomized trials, where groups of trial participants, instead of each trial ...

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

A Partitioning-Based Approach to Variable Selection in WLW Model for Multivariate Survival Data

open access: yesAxioms
In this paper, we propose a new variable selection method using a partitioning-based estimating equation for multivariate survival data to simultaneously perform variable selection and parameter estimation.

Structural instability impairs function of the UDP‐xylose synthase 1 Ile181Asn variant associated with short‐stature genetic syndrome in humans

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

A new efficient method for estimating failure probability function

open access: yesXibei Gongye Daxue Xuebao
Estimation of the failure probability function plays a crucial role in reliability-based optimization design. However, efficiently and accurately estimating the failure probability function remains a challenge.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.
