DNA methylation and expression of MAPRE3 affect overall survival of early‐stage non‐small cell lung cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Both cg12821679MAPRE3 methylation and MAPRE3 expression are significantly associated with overall survival (OS) of non‐small cell lung cancer. Meanwhile, MAPRE3 expression significantly modified the effect of smoking cessation on OS. Smoking cessation benefits OS merely for patients with high MAPRE3 expression.

Additive-multiplicative hazards regression models for interval-censored semi-competing risks data with missing intermediate events

open access: yesBMC Medical Research Methodology, 2019
Background In clinical trials and survival analysis, participants may be excluded from the study due to withdrawal, which is often referred to as lost-to-follow-up (LTF). It is natural to argue that a disease would be censored due to death; however, when

Estimation for Akshaya Failure Model with Competing Risks under Progressive Censoring Scheme with Analyzing of Thymic Lymphoma of Mice Application

open access: yesComplexity, 2022
In several experiments of survival analysis, the cause of death or failure of any subject may be characterized by more than one cause. Since the cause of failure may be dependent or independent, in this work, we discuss the competing risk lifetime model ...

Prognostic Impact of European LeukemiaNet Genetic Risk Stratification System in Adult Patients With Acute Myeloid Leukemia

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
This study aimed to evaluate the prognostic value of ELN2017 in predicting survival outcomes and to assess the impact of clinical and molecular factors such as age, FLT3 and NPM1 mutations, and allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo‐HSCT).

Semiparametric Analysis of Additive–Multiplicative Hazards Model with Interval-Censored Data and Panel Count Data

open access: yesMathematics
In survival analysis, interval-censored data and panel count data represent two prevalent types of incomplete data. Given that, within certain research contexts, the events of interest may simultaneously involve both data types, it is imperative to ...

Bayesian and non-Bayesian estimation of dynamic cumulative residual Tsallis entropy for moment exponential distribution under progressive censored type II

open access: yesOpen Physics, 2023
The dynamic cumulative residual (DCR) entropy is a helpful randomness metric that may be used in survival analysis. A challenging issue in statistics and machine learning is the estimation of entropy measures.

mexhaz: An R Package for Fitting Flexible Hazard-Based Regression Models for Overall and Excess Mortality with a Random Effect

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Software, 2021
We present mexhaz, an R package for fitting flexible hazard-based regression models with the possibility to add time-dependent effects of covariates and to account for a twolevel hierarchical structure in the data through the inclusion of a normally ...

Predicting Loss of Ambulation in Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy R9

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Limb girdle muscular dystrophy type R9 (LGMDR9) results from biallelic variants in FKRP. There is limited data to predict loss of ambulation (LOA) among those with LGMDR9. Methods Participants in an ongoing dystroglycanopathy natural history study (NCT00313677) with FKRP variants who had achieved ambulation and were more than 3 ...

IV Thrombolysis Facilitates Interventional Reperfusion in Non‐Cardioembolic but Not Cardioembolic Stroke

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Intravenous thrombolysis (IVT) before thrombectomy for ischemic stroke may alter clot structure and procedural performance. We investigated how IVT relates to thrombectomy metrics across stroke etiologies. Methods We performed a time‐to‐event analysis of consecutive patients with anterior circulation large vessel occlusion (acLVO ...
