Improvement in Estimating Population Mean using Two Auxiliary Variables in Two-Phase Sampling [PDF]
This study proposes improved chain-ratio type estimator for estimating population mean using some known values of population parameter(s) of the second auxiliary character. The proposed estimators have been compared with two-phase ratio estimator and some other chain type estimators. The performances of the proposed estimators have been supposed with a

Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a possibility for different applications in early and late stage breast cancer management. In early breast cancer tumor informed approaches are increasingly used for detecting molecular residual disease (MRD) and early recurrence. In advanced stage, ctDNA provides a possibility for monitoring disease progression and

Black box systems identification with estimation
In a black box system the internal parameters are not observables between input-output relationships. An approach is made knowing as estimation, based on the second probability moment. These results with a functional error and the innovation

An alternative estimator for estimating the finite population mean in presence of measurement errors [PDF]
This article presents the problem of estimating the population mean using auxiliary information in the presence of measurement errors. A numerical study is made among the proposed estimator, the exponential ratio estimator, Singh and Solanki (2012) estimator and the mean per unit estimator in the presence of measurement errors.

In this explorative biomarker analysis, we assessed serial sampling of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) with CellSearch in two randomized trials testing immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in metastatic breast cancer. Our data demonstrate a prognostic potential of CTCs, most apparent 4 weeks into ICI therapy.

Improved estimation of the MSEs and the MSE matrices for shrinkage estimators of multivariate normal means and their applications [PDF]
In this article we provide some nonnegative and positive estimators of the mean squared errors(MSEs) for shrinkage estimators of multivariate normal means. Proposed estimators are shown to improve on the uniformly minimum variance unbiased estimator(UMVUE) under a quadratic loss criterion.

Circulating tumor cells: advancing personalized therapy in small cell lung cancer patients
Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) is an aggressive form of lung cancer that spreads rapidly to secondary sites such as the brain and liver. Cancer cells circulating in the blood, “circulating tumor cells” (CTCs), have demonstrated prognostic value in SCLC, and evaluating biomarkers on CTCs could guide treatment decisions such as for PARP inhibitors ...
