A maioria das doenças bucais pode ser prevenida por medidas individuais, comunitárias e profissionais, mas a acessibilidade é dificultada por recursos limitados e mal distribuídos. Para reduzir o risco desses agravos, os sistemas de saúde bucal precisam ser orientados no sentido do fortalecimento da atenção e prevenção primária à saúde.

Influence of needle design and irrigation depth in the presence of vapor lock: A computational fluid dynamics analysis in human oval roots with apical ramification

The combination of computational fluid dynamics and microcomputed tomography allow the characterization of the key parameters of root canal irrigation. Neither positive nor negative pressure systems can fully remove the vapor lock in such anatomies. The use of side‐vented needles combines a high cleaning capacity with a low risk of extrusion.
