Computational analysis of a plant receptor interaction network [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Trabajo fin de máster en Bioinformática y Biología ComputacionalIn all organisms, complex protein-protein interactions (PPI) networks control major biological functions yet studying their structural features presents a major analytical challenge.

The Water Vapor Abundance in Orion KL Outflows [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We present the detection and modeling of more than 70 far-IR pure rotational lines of water vapor, including the 18O and 17O isotopologues, towards Orion KL.

Da Vinci's mischief: xylem conduits in the stems of woody plants do not furcate

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 250, Issue 5, Page 3001-3013, June 2026.
Summary The hydraulic architecture of plants is often modeled as a ‘furcating’ network, in which xylem conduits proliferate in number toward the stem apex, analogous to animal circulatory systems. Yet whether furcation actually occurs within woody stems remains untested, despite major implications for carbon costs and hydraulic efficiency.

Reversal of infall in SgrB2(M) revealed by Herschel/HIFI observations of HCN lines at THz frequencies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Aims. To investigate the accretion and feedback processes in massive star formation, we analyze the shapes of emission lines from hot molecular cores, whose asymmetries trace infall and expansion motions. Methods.

Dynamics of genetic variability in Anastrepha fraterculus (Diptera: Tephritidae) during adaptation to laboratory rearing conditions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
BACKGROUND: Anastrepha fraterculus is one of the most important fruit fly plagues in the American continent and only chemical control is applied in the field to diminish its population densities.

Benzoxazinoid‐mediated microbiome feedbacks enhance Arabidopsis growth and defence

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 250, Issue 5, Page 3334-3348, June 2026.
Summary Plants modulate their surrounding microbiome via root exudates and such conditioned soil microbiomes feed back on the performance of the next generation of plants. How plants perceive altered soil microbiomes and modulate their performance in response to such microbiome feedbacks, however, remains largely unknown.

Structure and sequence evolution in the pennycress (Thlaspi arvense) pangenome

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 250, Issue 5, Page 2723-2741, June 2026.
Summary Eukaryotic genomes harbor many forms of variation, including nucleotide diversity and structural polymorphisms, which experience natural selection and contribute to genome evolution and biodiversity. Harnessing this variation for agriculture hinges on our ability to detect, quantify, catalog, and deploy genetic diversity. Here, we explore seven

Morphometric evidences for regional variation in potential of neural plasticity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The neural plasticity showing the ability of nervous system to change its structure and function is a well-documented fact. However regional variation within a CNS structure to undergo plastic changes has been shown by limited studies.
