We present a set of multifunctional tacrine derivatives, designed with the CADMA‐Chem protocol, aimed for Alzheimer and Parkinson diseases. Of the tacrines designed, TAC‐674 and TAC‐678 are the best candidates to act as multifunctional antioxidants and neuroprotectors for Alzheimer and Parkinson diseases, respectively.

Integrated microbiological, genomic, and structural analyses of bacteria isolated from a Peruvian geothermal system reveal enzymatic potential for the transformation of polyesters such as PET.
