Tri‐Functional Electrocatalysis for Zinc–Air Battery Coupled Water Splitting: A Catalyst‐Electrode‐Device‐System Perspective

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review establishes a catalyst–electrode–device–system framework for tri‐functional HER/OER/ORR electrocatalysis that couples water splitting with Zn–air batteries. Five catalyst families are covered: noble‐metal, metal‐based, single‐atom, heterostructure, and metal‐free systems.

Van der Waals Gap‐Confined Molecular Engineering of MoS2 for Selectivity‐Enhanced and Humidity‐Tolerant Gas Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Molecular confinement within van der Waals gaps of MoS2 is established as a powerful design strategy for selective and stable chemical sensing. Ethanol‐confined films simultaneously tune electronic doping, surface wettability, and sulfur vacancy configurations, suppressing water interference while enhancing NO2 adsorption.

Spatiotemporal Regulation of Hierarchical Assembly of Hydroxyapatite for Enamel Remineralization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Biomimetic repair exhibits unique advantages for enamel regeneration compared with conventional clinical treatments. An enzymatic mineralization system (EMS) is developed, where the resulting HAP nanorods hierarchically assemble into a highly ordered structure on the enamel surface through the spatiotemporal modulation of interfacial energies of ...

Extrinsic and Intrinsic Charge Transfer at Interfaces of Membrane‐Based Oxide Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Freestanding oxides have emerged as a new opportunity to tailor oxides outside of the typical epitaxial constraints. We present the fabrication of TiO2‐terminated SrTiO3 membranes via direct growth control. We demonstrate competing ionic and electronic charge transfer in LaAlO3/SrTiO3 bilayers using near ambient pressure XPS.

AI‐Assisted Ultrasensitive Biosensing using Metal‐Electrolyte‐Metal‐Insulator‐Silicon Structure Based on Oxygen‐Tunable Iridium Oxide Nanonets for Lysyl‐Oxidase‐Like‐2 Breast Cancer Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
An oxygen‐controlled iridium‐oxide (IrOx) nano‐net structure is developed to enhance the sensitivity of metal‐electrolyte‐metal‐insulator‐silicon (MEMIS) biosensors. Integrated with a deep learning model, this platform achieves a high accuracy of 94.8% for detecting the breast cancer biomarker LOXL2.
