Ethernet/IP - industrijski Ethernet

Seamless ethernet approach

2016 IEEE International Conference on Consumer Electronics (ICCE), 2016
In this paper, we introduce a novel approach called seamless Ethernet to allow Ethernet switches to provide seamless redundancy with zero recovery time and without the need to modify the standard Ethernet frame layout or even use RSTP protocol. The idea is to flood the frame whose destination is unknown until it reaches the destination switch.

Timed Ethernet: Real-time formal specification of Ethernet

2006
The goal of this paper is to show how formal specification can be applied to a full-fledged, real-world protocol while maintaining, or even enhancing, readability. The system we formally specify is Ethernet as it appears in IEEE 802.3. We focus on the specification of the Medium Access Control (MAC) layer—the part of the Data Link Layer that implements

Real-time Ethernet

Computer Communications, 1992
Abstract A method for making IEEE 802.3 Ethernet deterministic is described. It uses a parallel arbitration technique (PAT) to enable a node to obtain strict priority access to the network. The implementation uses standard network components and requires a low cost hardware adaptor. No bus master is required for this CSMA/CD solution.

Ethernet designer's guide

Microprocessors and Microsystems, 1982
Abstract The Ethernet is a local data communications network. It supports communication between machines connected to a common coaxial cable using transceivers and controllers. The purpose of this designer's guide is to help with interfacing to the transmission system.
