The ethmoid sinus is a collection of approximately nine air cells situated between the upper limit of the nasal fossa and the orbit and closely related to the posterio superior aspect of the maxillary antrum. Cancer in any of these regions may spread rapidly to the adjacent areas, especially as the early disease is frequently asymptomatic.

Osteosarcoma of the ethmoid sinus
Skeletal Radiology, 2004A rare case of chondroblastic osteosarcoma arising from the ethmoid sinus is reported. The patient, a 34-year-old woman, presented with diminished visual acuity of the left eye. CT and MR imaging showed a heterogeneous left-sided nasoethmoidal mass destroying the medial orbital wall.

ADENOCARCINOMA OF THE ETHMOID SINUS
Archives of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, 1947CANCER in the ethmoid labyrinth is usually "bad news" to the practicing otolaryngologist. Almost invariably the malignant cells involve vital adjacent structures before a diagnosis can be made. The early symptoms of nasal obstruction and postnasal discharge can be easily attributed to benign involvements of the nose.

Adenocarcinoma of the ethmoid sinus
Head & Neck, 1995AbstractBackground. Carcinoma of the paranasal sinuses is rare. The majority of these originate in the maxillary sinus with primary ethmoid carcinomas occurring in up to 20% of cases. Adenocarcinomas comprise up to 50% of the ethmoid malignancy. The relative rarity of tumors originating in this area has led to their inclusion in series that consist ...
