Characterization of carbon monoxide, methane and nonmethane hydrocarbons in emerging cities of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan and in Singapore [PDF]
We investigate the composition of 63 C2-C10 nonmethane hydrocarbons (NMHCs), methane (CH4) and carbon monoxide (CO), in Jeddah, Mecca, and Madina (Saudi Arabia), in Lahore, (Pakistan), and in Singapore. We established a database with which to compare and

Facilitated transport near the carrier saturation limit [PDF]
Permeation of ethylbenzene, styrene and 1-hexene through perfluorosulfonate ionomer membranes was carried out with the feed concentrations ranging from 1 M to pure. On comparison, fluxes of ethylbenzene through the Ag+-form membrane were the lowest. Only

Investigation of Polymer–Plasticizer Blends as SH-SAW Sensor Coatings for Detection of Benzene in Water with High Sensitivity and Long-Term Stability [PDF]
We report the first-ever direct detection of benzene in water at concentrations below 100 ppb (parts per billion) using acoustic wave (specifically, shear-horizontal surface acoustic wave, SH-SAW) sensors with plasticized polymer coatings.

Transitioning of the Chemical Industry Toward a Net‐Zero Carbon Dioxide Emission Path
One way to reduce the greenhouse gas footprint of the chemical industry to almost zero would be the production of the platform molecules C1‐compounds, olefins, aromatics, and ammonia by non‐fossil pathways. The rest of the chemical production chains could be essentially left unchanged, provided the process energy input is renewable.
