Quality Assessment of Box Materials for Long‐Term Archival Storage: VOC Emissions Are Not a Significant Concern

open access: yesChemPlusChem, Volume 91, Issue 1, January 2026.
The image summarizes the main finding of our assessment of VOC emissions from archival box materials. VOCs from archive boxes were analyzed using GC–MS, IC, and Oddy tests. While some storage materials showed hazards at elevated temperatures, acetic and formic acid emissions at room temperature were very low.

A Triple‐Catalytic, Fully Biogenic Synthesis of Cyclic Carbonates

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 19, Issue 1, January 2026.
A three‐step synthesis of cyclic carbonates from biogenic resources (fatty acids, O2, CO2) is reported. The process operates via a visible light‐mediated hydrocarbon oxidation, with an overall 100% atom‐economy, in the presence of easily accessible catalysts (porphyrin, VO(acac)2, pyridine) but without intermediate work‐up procedures.

From Lab to Market: Strategies for Stabilizing and Scaling Perovskite Solar Cells via Printing Technologies

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 1, January 2026.
Over the past 13 years, the power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have experienced important enhancements. PSCs exhibit superior optoelectronic properties and can be fabricated using inexpensive materials. To compete with first‐generation photovoltaic technologies, it is essential to scale up production.

Non-Isothermal Crystallization Behaviors of Ethylene Vinyl Acetate Copolymer and Ethylene Vinyl Acetate Copolymer-Graft-Maleic Anhydride

Journal of Macromolecular Science, Part B, 2015
Maleic anhydride (MAH) was melt-grafted on ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) with a grafting degree of 6.3%. Through studying the crystal structure of the resulting EVA-g-MAH, the MAH groups had little influence on crystal structure. According to the Owaza model analysis of the non-isothermal crystallization kinetics of EVA-g-MAH and EVA, the MAH ...

Recyclable ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer vitrimer foams

Polymer, 2021
Abstract Current practices in the production and disposal of polymers follow an unsustainable trend. Foamed ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) is no exception as chemical cross-linking limits recyclability. Here, we demonstrate that we can readily control the kinetics of the cross-linking networks by changing the usage and variety of linkages ...
