Blends of ethylene-co-vinyl acetate and poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) with adhesion property

open access: yeseXPRESS Polymer Letters, 2018
The structure and properties of ethylene-co-vinyl acetate (EVA) and poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) (PHB) blends depended on their PHB content, i.e. PHB phase dominated the structure for amounts of PHB higher than 50 wt%, whereas EVA phase is dominant for PHB ...

Phosphine oxide for reducing flammability of ethylene-vinyl-acetate copolymer

open access: yese-Polymers, 2021
In this work, a phosphorous-containing flame retardant, phenylphosphonate-based compound (EHPP), is synthesized by alcoholysis and hydrazinolysis of phenylphosphonic dichloride, which is subsequently introduced to ethylene-vinyl-acetate (EVA) copolymer ...

Characterization of Microplastics in Human Gastric Cancer and Control Tissues and Analysis of Associated Genetic Features

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study characterizes the presence of microplastics in human normal gastric, para‐tumor, and gastric tumor tissue and confirms the association between microplastic exposure and lymph node metastasis in gastric cancer. This study explores the transcriptomic changes induced by microplastic exposure, laying the foundation for further investigation into

Ferrocene and Ferrocenium Modified Clays and Their Styrene and EVA Composites [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
In this work, ferrocene- and ferrocenium-containing salts were employed to modify montmorillonite. X-ray measurements show an increase in the interlayer spacing upon clay modification, which means that the larger and more organophilic cations were ...

Electrospinning of Ethylene Vinyl Acetate/Carbon Nanotube Nanocomposite Fibers [PDF]

open access: yesPolymers, 2019
Nanocomposites, based on an ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer with a vinyl acetate content of 34 wt % and varying amounts of multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), were prepared by an electrospinning method. The dispersibility of the MWCNTs in the solution was improved by using cholesteryl 1-pyrenecarboxylate (PyChol) as a compatibilizer.
