Ethylene and ethylene-oxide adsorption on Ag(110)

Surface Science, 1986
The adsorption of ethylene (Et) and ethylene-oxide (Et-O) on Ag(110) was studied in the temperature range of 100–300 K using work function measurements (Δφ), LEED, UPS and thermal desorption spectroscopy (TDS). The binding energy of Et to Ag(110) is rather weak. In TDS, Et desorbs for low coverage with a peak temperature Tm = 148 K.

Determination of Ethylene Oxide, Ethylene Chlorohydrin, and Ethylene Glycol in Aqueous Solutions and Ethylene Oxide Residues in Associated Plastics

Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1984
A gas chromatographic (GC) method was developed for the determination of ethylene oxide and its two reaction products, ethylene chlorohydrin and ethylene glycol, in aqueous ophthalmic solutions. Propylene oxide was used as an internal standard. All three components were determined in one isothermal chromatographic analysis in less than 15 min.

Selective Electrochemical Reduction of Carbon Dioxide to Ethylene and Ethanol on Copper(I) Oxide Catalysts

, 2015
The selective electroreduction of carbon dioxide to C2 compounds (ethylene and ethanol) on copper(I) oxide films has been investigated at various electrochemical potentials. Aqueous 0.1 M KHCO3 was used as electrolyte.

Shape-Selective Zeolites Promote Ethylene Formation from Syngas via a Ketene Intermediate.

Angewandte Chemie, 2018
Syngas conversion by Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FTS) is characterized by a wide distribution of hydrocarbon products ranging from one to a few carbon atoms. Reported here is that the product selectivity is effectively steered toward ethylene by employing

Ethylene and abscission

Physiologia Plantarum, 1997
A substantial body of literature supports the involvement of ethylene in abscission of leaves, flowers and flower parts, and fruit. Exogenous ethylene accelerates abscission in many, but not all, abscising plant systems. In some cases, endogenous ethylene production increases before abscission, while in others a change in ethylene sensitivity can be ...
