Ethylene Oxide

2000
Abstract When used as a sterilant or a fumigant, EtO is reported to cause peripheral neuropathy, seizures, and cognitive impairment. Ethylene oxide (EtO) (4,7) is produced by the direct oxidation of ethylene with air or oxygen over a catalyst. Its principal industrial use is in the synthesis of ethylene glycol.
