Composite Solid Polymer Electrolyte with Garnet Nanosheets in Poly(ethylene oxide)
ACS Sustainable Chemistry and Engineering, 2019Solid electrolytes potentially provide safety, Li dendrites blocking, and electrochemical stability in Li-metal batteries. Large efforts have been devoted to disperse ceramic nanoparticles in a poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) matrix to improve the ions ...

THE MECHANISM OF THE SELECTIVE OXIDATION OF ETHYLENE TO ETHYLENE OXIDE
Catalysis Reviews, 1974The modern petrochemical industry relies on several hydrocarbon raw materials: methane, ethylene, propylene, butene, higher olefins, and the aromatics.

Contact Dermatitis, 1981
A case of contact dermatitis produced on the face of a patient after the application of an oxygen mask is described. This paper includes the results of epicutaneous tests, the identification of the possible etiologicai agent and chromatographic analysis of the samples sterilized by ethylene oxide.

THE CHEMISTRY OF ETHYLENE OXIDE: I. AN ANALYSIS FOR ETHYLENE OXIDE [PDF]
Accurate and convenient analyses for ethylene oxide can be obtained using 1% periodic acid in dilute perchloric acid as reagent. The time required is less than an hour and the precision is about 0.1–0.2%.

Sensorimotor polyneuropathy developed in two workers who had been exposed to ethylene oxide gas repeatedly for several months. Sural nerve biopsies revealed axonal degeneration with mild changes of the myelin sheath. Unmyelinated fibers were also involved. Muscle biopsies showed typical denervation atrophy.

TERILIZATION by gases is a special form of chemical disinfection but subject to the same basic principles as chemical disinfection, which we discussed in our article in the September Journal. Gas, however, is a better penetrating agent, and it can be applied to some articles not suitable for treatment with liquids, for example, blankets. Up to the last

Residual Ethylene Oxide and Ethylene Glycol in Ethylene Oxide Sterilized Pharmaceuticals
Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1965The development and application of two methods for the determination of sterilization residues in ethylene oxide sterilized steroids, vitamins, and antibiotics are described. One method is based on the separation and concentration of ethylene oxide (ETO) by distillation and measurement by internal standard gas liquid chromatography.

THE occasional occurrence of ethylene oxide explosions during the fumigation of dried fruit has led us to undertake a detailed study of the combustion characteristics of the vapour. An examination of the effect of pressure on the spontaneous ignition temperatures has yielded results somewhat like those for acetaldehyde1,2.. Cool flames can be initiated
