Effect of thermal ageing on space charge in ethylene propylene rubber at DC voltage
To understand the space charge characteristics of ethylene propylene rubber (EPR) used in MV/HV power cables under thermal stress, the space charge profile is measured by the pulsed electro-acoustic method under 20 kV/mm at 120 and 160 °C.

Compressive behaviors of 3D printed polypropylene-based composites at low and high strain rates
3D-printed composites have promising potential for applications as structural or functional parts in different engineering fields. However, due to the presence of pores and weak interface interactions, 3D-printed parts have weaker mechanical performance ...

Thermal strength of ethylene–propylene rubbers
Abstract Thermal stability of ethylene–propylene copolymers (EPDM and EPR) is evaluated by isothermal and isobaric determinations of oxygen uptake. Three temperatures (170°C, 185°C and 195°C) were used for all sets of experiments. Two grades of material state: (a) purified by precipitation; and (b) as they were delivered by the manufacturer, were ...

Liquid ethylene-propylene copolymers [PDF]
Oligomers are prepared by heating solid ethylene-propylene rubber in container that retains solid and permits liquid product to flow out as it is formed. Molecular weight and viscosity of liquids can be predetermined by process temperature.

Melt Grafting of Geometry‐Tailored Voltage Stabilizers for High‐Performance Polypropylene Insulation
A scalable one‐step melt grafting strategy is developed to enhance the dielectric properties of isotactic polypropylene by covalently incorporating thermally stable aromatic voltage stabilizers. This solvent‐free approach improves volume resistivity and DC breakdown strength through deep trap formation and charge localization, offering a sustainable ...
