Tungsten(V) complexes of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid

Journal of Inorganic and Nuclear Chemistry, 1974
Abstract The complexes of pentavalent tungsten with EDTA were synthesized and characterized as salts of the complex anion, [W2O4Y]2−. The remarkable stability of this anion in aqueous solution (log β = 29·1) as well as the properties of the solid salts are in accordance with the proposed structure consisting of the binuclear unit, , surrounded ...

SODIUM CHELATES OF ETHYLENEDIAMINETETRAACETIC ACID

Canadian Journal of Chemistry, 1963
The stability constant of the sodium chelate of EDTA was determined by means of a sodium-sensitive glass electrode. It appears that a hydrogen chelate of the formula NaHY2− is formed in the neutral solution of EDTA, but is very unstable. The stability constants, pKNaY = −2.61 and pKNaHY = 0.03, are comparable to the value obtained by Schwarzenbach and

Titanium (III) complexes of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid

Journal of Inorganic and Nuclear Chemistry, 1966
Abstract The complexes of trivalent titanium with ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, EDTA (H4Y) have been studied in aqueous solution. The constants of the acid-base equilibria characterizing this system have been measured as well as the u.v. and visible spectra of the individual complexes. The complex acid HTiY·3H2O and a number of its salts have been

Sodium ion complexes with ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid

Acta Crystallographica Section C Crystal Structure Communications, 1993
The crystal structures of tetrasodium (1,2-ethanediyldinitrilo)tetraacetate pentahydrate and disodium dihydrogen (1,2-ethanediyldinitrilo)tetraacetate dihydrate have been determined. Na ions prefer to act as bridges between different edta ligands and only in the tetrasodium salt is the edta ligand hexadentate to one Na ion.

Shear strength after ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid conditioning of dentin

Acta Odontologica Scandinavica, 2001
On the basis of previous studies, it was hypothesized that a chelating agent such as ethylenediamine-tetraacetic acid (EDTA) in a saturated aqueous solution (24%) can function as a dentin conditioning agent with exposure times comparable to that of phosphoric acid without compromising shear bond strength.

Effects of Ethylenediaminetetraacetic Acid (EDTA) on Prothrombin Consumption

Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1961
Abstract Whole human blood was treated with varying concentrations of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid to determine the effect upon prothrombin consumption. The prothrombin consumption test was combined with the Dreskin two-stage prothrombin test to determine residual prothrombin as a function of incubation time.

MANGANESE (III) COMPLEXES WITH ETHYLENEDIAMINETETRAACETIC ACID

Canadian Journal of Chemistry, 1962
Manganese(III) ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid complex has been prepared by various methods. The solid having a composition of KMnY.2.5H2O is obtained as deep red crystals when the manganese dioxide suspension reacts with free ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (H4Y).

The separation of plant cells with ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid

Experimental Cell Research, 1960
Abstract The ability of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) to separate the cortical cells of the apple fruit has been studied. Macerating activity was influenced markedly by pH, temperature and concentration of the reagent. Procedures suitable for macerating plant tissues are described.
