Determining ethylene group disorder levels in $\kappa$-(BEDT-TTF)$_2$Cu[N(CN)$_2$]Br [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We present a detailed structural investigation of the organic superconductor $\kappa$-(BEDT-TTF)$_2$Cu[N(CN)$_2$]Br at temperatures $T$ from 9 to 300 K. Anomalies in the $T$ dependence of the lattice parameters are associated with a glass-like transition

From diffuse growth to planar polarity in Arabidopsis root epidermal cells

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2015
Plant roots fulfill important functions as they serve in water and nutrient uptake, provide anchorage of the plant body in the soil and in some species form the site of symbiotic interactions with soil-living biota.

Ethylene Receptor ETHYLENE RECEPTOR1 Domain Requirements for Ethylene Responses in Arabidopsis Seedlings     [PDF]

open access: yesPlant Physiology, 2011
Abstract Ethylene influences many processes in Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana) through the action of five receptor isoforms. We used high-resolution, time-lapse imaging of dark-grown Arabidopsis seedlings to better understand the roles of each isoform in the regulation of growth in air, ethylene-stimulated nutations, and growth ...

Atom, Atom-Type, and Total Linear Indices of the “Molecular Pseudograph’s Atom Adjacency Matrix”: Application to QSPR/QSAR Studies of Organic Compounds

open access: yesMolecules, 2004
In this paper we describe the application in QSPR/QSAR studies of a newgroup of molecular descriptors: atom, atom-type and total linear indices of the molecularpseudograph’s atom adjacency matrix.

Photoelectron spectroscopy of ethylene, isobutylene, trimethylethylene, and tetramethylethylene at variable angles [PDF]

open access: yes, 1979
Using a HeI line 58.4 nm source lamp, photoelectron angular distributions were measured for the series of four olefins: ethylene, isobutylene (2‐methyl‐propene), trimethylethylene (2‐methyl‐2‐butene), and tetramethylethylene (2,3‐dimethyl‐2‐butene). From

Engineering tandem VHHs to target different epitopes to enhance antibody‐dependent cell‐mediated cytotoxicity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Tandem VHH targeting distinct EGFR epitopes were engineered into a monovalent bispecific antibody (7D12‐EGA1‐Fc) with more potent ADCC without increasing affinity to EGFR. Structural modeling of 7D12‐EGA1‐Fc showed cross‐linking of separate EGFR domains to enhance CD16a engagement on NK cells.

Understanding the Effects of Ethylene as an Airborne Contaminant in Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells and its Mitigation via Filtration

open access: yesChemElectroChem
Proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs) are a promising clean energy technology, but their performance and durability are highly sensitive to contaminants in both the fuel and oxidant streams.

An Efficient Chemoselective Reduction of Furan Series Unsaturated Dinitriles

open access: yesMolecules, 2013
An efficient reduction of double bonds conjugated with nitrile groups and acid or base sensitive furan rings with 2-phenylbenzimidazoline generated in situ has been successfully accomplished with high yields and excellent selectivity.

Polyhydroxyalkanoate as a slow-release carbon source for in situ bioremediation of contaminated aquifers: from laboratory investigation to pilot-scale testing in the field [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
A pilot-scale study aiming to evaluate the potential use of poly-3-hydroxy-butyrate (PHB) as an electron donor source for in situ bioremediation of chlorinated hydrocarbons in groundwater was conducted.

Meta‐analysis fails to show any correlation between protein abundance and ubiquitination changes

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We analyzed over 50 published proteomics datasets to explore the relationship between protein levels and ubiquitination changes across multiple experimental conditions and biological systems. Although ubiquitination is often associated with protein degradation, our analysis shows that changes in ubiquitination do not globally correlate with changes in ...
