Performance Constraints of All‐Perovskite Tandem Solar Cells in Low‐Intensity, Low‐Temperature Environments

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
All‐perovskite tandem solar cells are evaluated under low‐intensity and low‐temperature (LILT) conditions relevant to space environments. Distinct loss regimes emerge, where weaker entropic mixing causes halide segragation below ≈240 K going along with a strong current imbalance, while poor electron transport in C60 dominates.

Optimization of HTL and ETL materials and parameters for high-efficiency CH3NH3SnI3 perovskite solar cells

open access: yesAIMS Materials Science
This study explored how varying the material and physical properties of the electron transport layer (ETL) and hole transport layer (HTL) layers affects the performance of CH3NH3SnI3 perovskite solar cells.

Tetracera loureiri Extract Regulates Lipopolysaccharide-Induced Inflammatory Response Via Nuclear Factor-κB and Mitogen Activated Protein Kinase Signaling Pathways

open access: yesPlants, 2022
Tetracera loureiri (T. loureiri) is a woody climber inhabiting open deciduous or evergreen forests in Southeast Asia. A decoction comprising its stem and other herbs is a traditional Thai remedy for fatigue and jaundice, as well as to promote overall ...

The One-Mode Quantum-Limited Gaussian Attenuator and Amplifier Have Gaussian Maximizers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
We determine the p->q norms of the Gaussian one-mode quantum-limited attenuator and amplifier and prove that they are achieved by Gaussian states, extending to noncommutative probability the seminal theorem "Gaussian kernels have only Gaussian maximizers"

Role of the Recombination Zone in Organic Light‐Emitting Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review summarizes the critical role of the recombination zone in organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs). We highlight that broadening the recombination zone in OLEDs based on emissive layers with balanced charge transport and high photoluminescence quantum yields provides a promising route toward achieving both long operational lifetime and high ...

E-ETL: Framework for Managing Evolving ETL Workflows [PDF]

open access: yesFoundations of Computing and Decision Sciences, 2013
AbstractData warehouses integrate external data sources (EDSs), which very often change their data structures (schemas). In many cases, such changes cause an erroneous execution of an already deployed ETL workow. Structural changes of EDSs are frequent, therefore an automatic reparation of an ETL workow, after such changes, is of a high importance ...

ETL processes specifications generation through goal-ontology approach [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The common design-related problems for extract, transform, load (ETL) processes are far away from being resolved due to the variation and ambiguity of user requirements and the complexity of ETL operations. These were the fundamental issues of data ...

Bistable Amphoteric Native Defect Model of Perovskite Photovoltaics

open access: yes, 2018
The past few years have witnessed unprecedented rapid improvement of the performance of a new class of photovoltaics based on halide perovskites. This progress has been achieved even though there is no generally accepted mechanism of the operation of ...

Perspective: OLED Displays Singing with the Blues

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
While blue pixels consume approximately 50% of the energy of OLED display front planes, in the 25 years since their invention, 100% internal efficiency triplet‐controlled phosphorescent OLEDs have not met the stability standards necessary for their adoption.
