EUREF Study Group on alternatives to ETRS89. Status of work

The European Terrestrial Reference System 89 (ETRS89) was adopted in 1990 in Florence, Italy, following the EUREF Resolution 1. It is defined in such a way that it coincides with ITRS at epoch 1989.0 and is fixed to the stable part of the Eurasian tectonic plate. 12 realizations ETRFxx havebeen published to date, the most recent being ETRF2020.

The JTSK First order trigonometric points (TP) network was being built on the Czechoslovakia territory between 1921 and 1953.Its initial implementation was completed in the spring of 1927 and included 268 trigonometric points, which thus form the basic framework of the Czechoslovak positional geodetic control.
