The Effects of Myrtle Rust on Post‐Fire Regeneration of Myrtaceae in Australia

open access: yesAustral Ecology, Volume 50, Issue 7, July 2025.
ABSTRACT Fire is an important factor influencing the evolution, structure and composition of Australia's native vegetation. Australia's many fire‐adapted species regenerate en masse after fire, with a proliferation of new epicormic shoots and seedlings.

Biomass and Carbon of Eucalyptus spp. Genotypes Estimated With UAV‐LIDAR Using Area‐Based Approach and Machine Learning

open access: yesInternational Journal of Forestry Research, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
This study aimed to quantify aboveground biomass and aboveground carbon in the total, trunk, and canopy compartments of Eucalyptus spp. using UAV‐LiDAR data, using modeling techniques. The study area is part of the EUCFLUX project located in São Paulo, Brazil, and consists of five experimental blocks with 25 Eucalyptus spp. genotypes.

Cryptic sexual reproduction in an emerging Eucalyptus shoot and foliar pathogen

open access: yesPlant Pathology, Volume 73, Issue 5, Page 1145-1155, June 2024.
By using microsatellite and mating‐type markers, we elucidated the population biology and likely mode of reproduction of Elsinoe necatrix causing the destructive Eucalyptus scab and shoot malformation epidemic in North Sumatra, Indonesia. Abstract Eucalyptus scab and shoot malformation is an emerging disease and a serious threat to the global ...

RELAÇÃO ENTRE CONCENTRAÇÕES FOLIARES DE CARBOIDRATOS SOLÚVEIS TOTAIS E TOLERÂNCIA AO FRIO EM DIFERENTES ESPÉCIES DE Eucalyptus spp.

open access: yesCiência Florestal, 2013
This work was carried out to evaluate the effects of the rustification on cold tolerance in Eucalyptus dunnii Maiden, Eucalyptus benthamii Maiden & Cambage, Eucalyptus grandis W. Hill ex Maiden, and Eucalyptus saligna Sm., by quantifying leaf contents of

Effect of steam thermal treatment on the drying process of Eucalyptus dunnii variables [PDF]

open access: yesCERNE, 2013
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of steam treatment prior to drying on the initial moisture content, moisture gradient, and drying rate in Eucalyptus dunnii Maiden wood. Boards were steamed at 100ºC for 3 h after 1 h of heating-up. Part of these boards was dried in a drying electric oven at 50ºC, and part was dried at kiln.

Identification of a cold-inducible gene encoding calmodulin-binding protein from Eucalyptus dunnii through suppression subtractive hybridization

open access: yesBiologia Plantarum, 2014
Low temperature is the main limiting factor for cultivation expansion, fast growth, and high yield of Eucalyptus species. To investigate the mechanism of their cold tolerance, a cDNA subtraction library representing the cold-induced genes of Eucalyptus ...
