Naturally-occurring nematicides of plant origin: two decades of novel chemistries. [PDF]
A review of structure–activity correlations for 262 plant‐derived nematicidal compounds for controlling plant parasitic nematodes is presented. Chemical structures, sources, and isolation procedures are summarized based on the major chemical groups. Abstract Plant‐parasitic nematodes are among the most destructive plant pathogens, resulting in a global

Perpendicular Mechano-Sorptive Strains during Moisture Desorption from Eucalyptus nitens Specimens
The purpose of this paper was to determine the mechano-sorptive strains produced during desorption of moisture from Eucalyptus nitens specimens, from a perspective of modeling wood drying stresses.

CT-scanning of the drying process of Eucalyptus nitens
The drying of Eucalyptus nitens is a troublesome process as the species is extremely prone to drying defects. This paper reports ongoing research to improve the understanding of surface checking and cell collapse in Chilean grown Eucalyptus nitens during drying.

Frost damage to eucalypts in a short-rotation forestry trial in Cumbria (England)
Cold is the main climatic constraint to planting eucalypts in Britain and the winter of 2009-2010, the coldest in thirty years, proved particularly challenging for their survival.

Micropropagation of Eucalyptus nitens maiden (Shining gum) [PDF]
Eucalyptus nitens Maiden (shining gum) is a frost-tolerant species of Eucalyptus that can be used as an alternative species to Eucalyptus globulus in some regions of Portugal where winter temperatures are too low. Seedlings and 1-yr-old shoot tips and nodes were used for micropropagation of E. nitens.

Population divergence in the chloroplast genome of Eucalyptus nitens [PDF]
Variation in the chloroplast genome of Eucalyptus nitens was assessed for ten individuals from each of eight populations covering the natural range of the species. Twenty-five mutations were detected which were distributed over 13 haplotypes. The mutations were present both within and between populations.

ABSTRACT The Eucalyptus variegated beetle (Paropsisterna cloelia) was established in New Zealand in 2016 and has caused substantial damage to selected host species. Previous field observations suggested that Pst. cloelia larvae may feed for a longer period during the year than the closely related Eucalyptus tortoise beetle (Paropsis charybdis), New ...

Physiology and anatomy of lenticel-like structures on leaves of Eucalyptus nitens and Eucalyptus globulus seedlings [PDF]
Intumescences or abnormal, non-pathogenic, blister-like protuberant growths, form on Eucalyptus globulus Labill. and, to a much lesser extent, Eucalyptus nitens (Deane and Maiden) Maiden leaves when plants are grown in a high relative humidity environment.
