Inhibition Effects of Patchouli Alcohol, Carvacrol, p‐Cymene, Eucalyptol and Their Formulations Against Influenza Virus Pneumonia Through TLR4/NF‐κB/NLRP3 Signaling Pathway

open access: yesChemical Biology &Drug Design, Volume 106, Issue 2, August 2025.
The study provides an experimental basis for volatile monomers of aromatic herbs to be formulated for the treatment of influenza virus pneumonia. The overall scope of the study is shown in the image. ABSTRACT As a kind of drug mostly used historically to treat epidemics, aromatic botanicals have volatile oils as active components.

A Global Synthesis on Land‐Cover Changes in Watersheds Shaping Freshwater Detrital Food Webs

open access: yesGlobal Change Biology, Volume 31, Issue 8, August 2025.
This study investigates the cascading effects of land‐cover changes on freshwater food webs and biodiversity by synthesizing data from 144 published studies. We found that human‐driven changes in watershed vegetation consistently reduce the diversity, abundance, and biomass of freshwater organisms across trophic levels.

A short‐term dietary administration of 1,8‐cineole and lactic acid alleviates transportation stress in common carp, Cyprinus carpio

open access: yesJournal of the World Aquaculture Society, Volume 56, Issue 4, August 2025.
Abstract Fish transportation is stressful, causing metabolic stress, oxidative stress, and immunosuppression. Dietary additives can boost fish antioxidant and immune responses; hence, using functional feeds can alleviate the negative effects of transportation in fish. In the present study, common carp (33.2 ± 1.72 g) were fed diets containing 5 g/kg of
