Effects of an inducible aiiA gene on disease resistance in Eucalyptus urophylla × Eucalyptus grandis
Transgenic Research, 2016N-acyl-homoserine lactones (AHLs) are metabolites of mostly gram-negative bacteria and are critical signaling molecules in bacterial quorum-sensing systems. At threshold concentrations, AHLs can activate the expression of pathogenic genes and induce diseases. Therefore, reducing AHL concentrations is a key point of disease control in plants.

Abstract E. deglupta. Over most of its range E. urophylla is a forest tree usually reaching 25-45 m in height and up to 1 m diameter, with a straight bole for half to two¬ thirds of the tree height. Exceptional specimens attain 55 m in height and up to 2 m diameter. It is one of the best low-latitude eucalypts for planting in tropical

Provenance variation in Eucalyptus urophylla in Malawi
Forest Ecology and Management, 1989Abstract A provenance trial of Eucalyptus urophylla was established at Litende, Chintheche area, Malawi, in January 1982. Assessment results at age 5 years showed significant differences in diameter, volume, bark thickness and wood density among the provenances.

In Vitro Cellular & Developmental Biology - Plant, 2021
Micropropagation technique has been recommended for plant tissue rejuvenation/reinvigoration and the improvement of clonal plants production commercially. Concerning the limiting factors on in vitro cultivation of Eucalyptus grandis × E. urophylla hybrid clone, the effects of light intensity on in vitro introduction and multiplication phases were ...

European Journal of Wood and Wood Products, 2021
In this study, the variation of collapse and shrinkage both radially and along the height of trees was investigated and their relationships with warp in the sawn boards as well as the basic physical properties of wood (density, moisture content, permeability, extractives contents and heartwood/sapwood ratio) were determined. Seventy trees of Eucalyptus

Variation in Natural Durability of Seven Eucalyptus grandis × Eucalyptus urophylla Hybrid Clones
Forest Products Journal, 2017Abstract Programs aimed at developing clones of hybrid trees are commonly established in Brazil to meet the demands of various forest-based industries. These programs have continually improved the quality of eucalyptus wood, which has the potential to reduce deforestation by lowering demand for other high-value species.

Root exudation of glyphosate in Eucalyptus urophylla S.T. Blake
Journal of Environmental Science and Health, Part BGlyphosate stands out in the eucalyptus management, which makes it essential to know its behavior, its effects on the plant, and possible environmental impacts. This study aimed to identify and quantify the root exudation of glyphosate and aminomethylphosphonic acid (AMPA) by Eucalyptus urophylla with chromatographic and biological methods.
