This study introduces a novel multi‐scale scaffold design using L‐fractals arranged in Archimedean tessellations for tissue regeneration. Despite similar porosity, tiles display vastly different tensile responses (1–100 MPa) and deformation modes. In vitro experiments with hMSCs show geometry‐dependent growth and activity. Over 55 000 tile combinations

In this work, the authors perturb the Euclidean plane with a constant vector field of the form W = (0, ε) with 0 ≤ ε < 1, which can be interpreted as wind currents affecting the movement of ships in a constant unidirectional way.

Speckle Suppression by Weighted Euclidean Distance Anisotropic Diffusion
To better reduce image speckle noise while also maintaining edge information in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images, we propose a novel anisotropic diffusion algorithm using weighted Euclidean distance (WEDAD).

Peptide Sequencing With Single Acid Resolution Using a Sub‐Nanometer Diameter Pore
To sequence a single molecule of Aβ1−42–sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), the aggregate is forced through a sub‐nanopore 0.4 nm in diameter spanning a 4.0 nm thick membrane. The figure is a visual molecular dynamics (VMD) snapshot depicting the translocation of Aβ1−42–SDS through the pore; only the peptide, the SDS, the Na+ (yellow/green) and Cl− (cyan ...

Hierarchical clustering algorithm-dendogram using Euclidean and Manhattan distance
This paper presents the outcomes of a research experiment on the drying process of seaweed. There are numerous approaches to clustering data, such as partitioning and the Hierarchical Clustering Algorithm (HCA).

Fractional Euclidean Distance Matrices Extrapolator for Scattered Data
The paper deals with application of fractional distance matrices to construct the efficient extrapolator of scattered data. The properties of fractional distance matrices are studied in order to develop the linear extrapolator.

Effectiveness of corridors varies among phytosociological plant groups and dispersal syndromes. [PDF]
In agricultural landscapes, semi-natural habitats are scarce and remaining habitat patches are largely isolated. However, linear landscape elements might facilitate dispersal of plant species through the agricultural landscape matrix. We investigated the
