Tailored Fluorescent Metal–Organic Frameworks Hybrid Membrane Sensor Arrays: Simultaneous and Selective Quantification of Multiple Antibiotics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A filterable paper‐based fluorescent metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) sensor array is developed for one‐to‐one recognition and simultaneous quantification of multiple antibiotics. Three representative MOFs are strategically designed to exhibit exceptional affinity and specificity for the target antibiotic.

The Kontsevich constants for the volume of the moduli of curves and topological recursion

open access: yes, 2010
We give an Eynard-Orantin type topological recursion formula for the canonical Euclidean volume of the combinatorial moduli space of pointed smooth algebraic curves. The recursion comes from the edge removal operation on the space of ribbon graphs. As an

AI‐Driven Defecation Analysis by Smart Healthcare Toilet: Exploring Biometric Patterns and Eu‐Tenesmus

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A healthcare toilet system is introduced to passively measure defecation behavior. Real‐time data on stool dropping duration, thickness, and a newly defined “eu‐tenesmus” interval show correlations with stool form and gender differences. Results from 45 defecation events reveal a promising method for comprehensive defecation analysis.

Aromaticity‐Dependent Memristive Switching

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
The article describes a resistive switching mechanism based on the creation of virtual filaments. Research consists of experimental and theoretical data supporting the theory that resistance of the memristor can be modulated by a redox‐induced aromaticity change of a working material.

Intensification of Alkaline Electrolyzer with Improved Two‑Phase Flow

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Porous nickel‐type electrodes with low tortuosity are fabricated and their role in reducing the capillary pressure, bubble point, and ohmic resistance, which led to lower energy loss and higher current densities and efficiencies is investigated. The cell delivers a current density of 2 A cm−2 at ≈2 V.

Extended Local Analysis of Inexact Gauss-Newton-like Method for Least Square Problems using Restricted Convergence Domains

open access: yesAnnals of the West University of Timisoara: Mathematics and Computer Science, 2016
We present a local convergence analysis of inexact Gauss-Newton-like method (IGNLM) for solving nonlinear least-squares problems in a Euclidean space setting. The convergence analysis is based on our new idea of restricted convergence domains. Using this
