Constrained Euler Buckling

Journal of Nonlinear Science, 1997
The authors consider elastic buckling of an inextensible beam confined to the plane and subject to fixed end displacements, in the presence of rigid, frictionless side-walls which contain overall lateral displacements. The authors formulate the geometrically nonlinear Euler problem, derive some analytical results for special cases, and develop a ...

Euler Integration and Euler Multiplication

advg, 2005
Abstract By Euler integration we mean the integration of definable functions on IR n against the Euler characteristic. We investigate the structure of the ring of all definable functions (with compact support respectively), the multiplication being defined by the convolution with respect to the ...

Euler–Maruyama Approximations for Stochastic McKean–Vlasov Equations with Non-Lipschitz Coefficients

Journal of theoretical probability, 2019
In this paper, we study a type of stochastic McKean–Vlasov equations with non-Lipschitz coefficients. Firstly, by an Euler–Maruyama approximation the existence of its weak solutions is proved. Then we observe the pathwise uniqueness of its weak solutions.

Modeling Variable Curvature Parallel Continuum Robots Using Euler Curves

IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 2019
In this paper, we propose and investigate a new approach to modeling variable curvature continuum robot sections, based on Euler spirals. Euler spirals, also termed Clothoids, or Cornu spirals, are those curves in which the curvature increases linearly ...

Finite-Time $\mathcal{L}_{2}$ Leader–Follower Consensus of Networked Euler–Lagrange Systems With External Disturbances

IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems, 2018
This paper is concerned with finite-time $ {\mathcal {L}_{2}}$ leader–follower consensus of networked Euler–Lagrange systems in the presence of external disturbances.

Persistent homology and Euler integral transforms

Journal of Applied and Computational Topology, 2018
The Euler calculus—an integral calculus based on Euler characteristic as a valuation on constructible functions—is shown to be an incisive tool for answering questions about injectivity and invertibility of recent transforms based on persistent homology ...

Euler equation errors [PDF]

open access: possibleReview of Economic Dynamics, 2006
Abstract The standard, representative agent, consumption-based asset pricing theory based on CRRA utility fails to explain the average returns of risky assets. When evaluated on cross-sections of stock returns, the model generates economically large unconditional Euler equation errors.

The Euler characteristic and Euler defect for comodules over Euler coalgebras

Journal of K-Theory, 2009
AbstractLet K be a field. We study a class of left C-comodules over a basic left Euler coalgebra C by means of the Euler ℤ-bilinear form associated to C, the Euler characteristic χC(M,N) of left C-comodules M,N, and the defect ∂C(M,N) ∊ ℤ associated to any computable Euler pair (M,N) of left C-comodules. We show that (lgthM, lgthN) = χC(M,N) + ∂C(M,N)

EULER

Communications of the ACM, 1966
In this section the algorithmic language EULER is described first informally and then formally by its syntax and semantics. An attempt has been made to generalize and extend some of the concepts of ALGOL, thus creating a language which is simpler and yet more flexible than ALGOL 60.
