Association Between Fomesafen and Surfactants for the Pre-emergence Control of Euphorbia heterophylla L.

open access: yesJournal of Agricultural Studies, 2020
This work was conducted with the objective to determine Euphorbia heterophylla control with fomesafen in association with surfactants applied in pre-emergence, in substrates and soils with different characteristics. Three studies were carried out in pots, conducted in greenhouse, in a completely randomized experimental design.

Tracing the biogeographic history of the world's most isolated insular floras

open access: yesJournal of Systematics and Evolution, Volume 63, Issue 4, Page 952-973, July 2025.
We inferred the spatio–temporal colonization histories of seven vascular plant lineages (Acaena magellanica, Austroblechnum penna‐marina, Azorella selago, Colobanthus kerguelensis, Notogrammitis crassior, Polystichum marionense, Pringlea antiscorbutica) using phylogenetic, divergence time estimation, and Bayesian Island Biogeographic analyses.

Variation in root hair traits in 75 xerophytic species: Constraints of phylogeny, trait trade‐offs and environment

open access: yesFunctional Ecology, Volume 39, Issue 6, Page 1594-1605, June 2025.
Abstract Root hairs play an important role in the acquisition of soil resources by increasing the absorptive surface area. Yet, key factors driving the variation of root hair traits across different species along biogeographic gradients are still poorly quantified, limiting our understanding of the functional relevance of root hairs.

Analysis of the spatial distribution and association of banana wilt (Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense) with biophysical factors in Gamo zone, southern Ethiopia

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 8, Issue 1, March 2025.
Abstract Banana wilt, caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense (Foc), is one of the most important diseases of banana (Musa L.) worldwide including Ethiopia. Foc is responsible for sever yield losses of up to 90% in commercial and local banana cultivars planted in southern Ethiopia.
