Objective Some individuals avoid Alzheimer's disease (AD) pathology as they age, or retain cognition despite substantial pathology, suggesting mechanisms of resistance or resilience to neurodegeneration. Educational attainment (EA) is associated with reduced risk of cognitive decline, although the underlying mechanisms remain unclear.

Evaluation of Varnishes to Slow Down the Aging of Plasticized PVC

Varnish effectiveness in plasticized PVC strongly depends on both formulation and degradation state. A polyurethane varnish effectively limits color change and plasticizer loss in unaged PVC without phosphate plasticizers, whereas no protective effect is observed for phosphate‐containing PVC.

Foam Injection Molded Stereocomplex PLA: Processing, Thermal Behavior and Foam Structure

The processing of stereocomplex poly(lactic acid) (sc‐PLA) via continuous compounding followed by thermoplastic foam injection molding is investigated. A controlled two‐stage cooling strategy effectively promotes sc‐dominated crystallization of the granulates.
