Medieval examples of syphilis from European Russia
International Journal of Osteoarchaeology, 1999This report is concerned with two adult skeletons from an urban cemetery, dated to the middle of the 16th century, of Rostov Velikiy (Russian Federation), which exemplify specific changes for syphilis. Case No. 1 is a mature adult male. Remains are well-preserved and fairly complete.
