Enhancement in red emission at room temperature from europium doped ZnO nanowires by 1,10 phenanthroline-europium interface induced resonant excitations

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2017
We show that europium doped ZnO nanowires after surface modification with organic ligand, 1,10 phenanthroline (phen) leads to strong red emission at 613 nm which is a characteristic emission from the atomic levels of Eu3+.

Strain‐Programmable Luminescent Adhesive Patch With Tartrazine‐Mediated Optical Skin Clearing for Photochemical Tissue Bonding

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We propose a suture‐complementary approach that integrates optical skin clearing with a strain‐programmable luminescent adhesive patch. Hyaluronic acid promotes transdermal delivery of tartrazine to improve optical clearing and stabilizes its interaction with a photosensitizer. Optical clearing increases the penetration depth of visible light into skin,

Reinvestigation of Reactions of HgPh2 with Eu and Yb Metal and the Synthesis of a Europium(II) Bis(tetraphenylborate)

open access: yesMolecules, 2022
Europium bis(tetraphenylborate) [Eu(thf)7][BPh4]2⋅thf containing a fully solvated [Eu(thf)7]2+ cation, was synthesized by protolysis of “EuPh2” (from Eu and HgPh2) with Et3NHBPh4, and the structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction ...

On europium digallides

open access: yesZeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, 2023
AbstractThe europium gallide Eu1‐xGa2+3x (x is between 0.06 and 0.07) has been synthesized and its crystal structure has been refined from single crystal X‐ray diffraction data. Eu1‐xGa2+3x crystallizes with hexagonal structure related to the AlB2‐type (space group P6/mmm, a=4.354 Å, c=4.485 Å).

Designed Lewis Acid–Base Passivation for High Performance Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Silicon's high cost and long energy payback time remain major barriers to the global expansion of solar power. In contrast, metal–halide perovskites offer abundant, solution‐processable absorbers, and have achieved efficiencies of 25%–30%, positioning them as strong competitors to silicon.
