Experimental demonstration of quantum state tomography and qubit-qubit interactions for rare-earth-ion based solid state qubits

open access: yes, 2004
We report on the implementation of quantum state tomography for an ensemble of Eu$^{3+}$ dopant ions in a \YSO crystal. The tomography was applied to a qubit based on one of the ion's optical transitions.

Persistent luminescence in Eu2+-doped compounds : a review [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In 1996, Matsuzawa et al. reported on the extremely long-lasting afterglow of SrAl2O4:Eu2+ codoped with Dy3+ ions, which was more than 10-times brighter than the previously widely used ZnS:Cu,Co.

Neutron star mergers and rare core-collapse supernovae as sources of r-process enrichment in simulated galaxies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
We use cosmological, magnetohydrodynamical simulations of Milky Way-mass galaxies from the Auriga project to study their enrichment with rapid neutron capture (r-process) elements. We implement a variety of enrichment models from both binary neutron star

Development of a Highly Sensitive Time‐Resolved Fluorescence Immunochromatographic Assay for Rapid Onsite Determination of Prometryn Residues in Food Samples

open access: yesFood Safety and Health, EarlyView.
The recombinant full‐length antibody against prometryn (PRO‐rAb) was prepared by HEK293 (F) cell expression system and utilized as the foundation for time‐resolved fluorescence immunochromatographic assay (TRFICA). The established method showed good performance for the detection of prometryn residues in five food samples. ABSTRACT Prometryn, a triazine

Coordination chemistry of amide-functionalised tetraazamacrocycles: structural, relaxometric and cytotoxicity studies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Three different tetraazamacrocyclic ligands containing four amide substituents that feature groups (namely allyl, styryl and propargyl groups) suitable for polymerisation have been synthesised.

High‐Efficiency Phosphor Thin Films With Controlled Lateral Displacement for Low Color Crosstalk in Micro‐LED Displays

open access: yesJournal of the Society for Information Display, EarlyView.
High‐efficiency nano‐phosphor thin films were developed for micro‐LED color conversion, achieving high quantum efficiency and reduced lateral photon displacement. The optimized film structure effectively suppresses color crosstalk and enables high‐performance, full‐color micro‐LED displays.

Europium Tricyclopentadienide

open access: yesZeitschrift für Naturforschung B, 1966
Europium tricyclopentadienide has been prepared by the reaction of dichloroeuropium cyclopentadienide with two equivalents of sodium dicyclopentadienide as well as by the reaction of europium trichloride with three equivalents of sodium cyclopentadienide, both reactions taking place in tetrahydrofuran. It is stable in vacuum at temperatures up to 70°C.

Stokes $IQUV$ magnetic Doppler imaging of Ap stars - III. Next generation chemical abundance mapping of Alpha 2 CVn

open access: yes, 2014
In a previous paper we presented an updated magnetic field map for the chemically peculiar star Alpha 2 CVn using ESPaDOnS and Narval time-resolved high-resolution Stokes $IQUV$ spectra.

Excited multiplets of Eu in GaN [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
A method to calculate the multiplet states of lanthanide impurities in solids is presented. This approach is based on a semi-empirical density functional method which includes corrections to account for the correlation and spin-orbit coupling of the 4f ...

Spinel Aluminate‐Based Heterojunctions as Photocatalyst: A Review

open access: yesChemistryOpen, EarlyView.
Spinel aluminates (MAl2O4; M = Zn, Mg, Ca, Sr) serve as robust platforms for designing heterojunction photocatalysts. Their stable lattices, tunable band structures, and efficient charge transport enable improved light‐driven carrier separation, significantly enhancing pollutant degradation efficiency in advanced photocatalytic systems.
