Europium Nitride from Sponge Europium and Ammonia.

open access: yesNIPPON KAGAKU KAISHI, 1993
In order to obtain pure EuN powder, sponge Eu was prepared by evacuation of NH3 under 10-s Torr from an Eu solution of liquid NH3 a part of impurities in which was removed by dissolution of Eu. The resulting sponge Eu contained 2-3% of Eu(NH2)2 and a small amount of Eu(OH)3.

Spatial Cell Death and Oxidative Stress Dynamics in Gas Plasma‐Treated Tumor Tissues

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
Schematic representation of the four experimental models to study tissue penetration and oxidation. Four tissue models were used. Human pancreatic cancer cells were grown on the chorioallantois membrane of chicken embryos and gas plasma‐treated in ovo, murine colorectal tumor tissue was gas plasma‐exposed ex vivo, murine squamous cell carcinoma cells ...

THE ATOMIC-WEIGHT OF EUROPIUM [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
Absolute isotopic abundances of europium in 12 samples from various origins were determined by using thermal ionization mass spectrometry. For this purpose, synthetic mixtures of independently known isotopic compositions prepared from chemically pure ...

A Facile Method for the Fabrication of Luminescent Eu3+-Doped SiO2 Nanowires

open access: yesGels, 2022
Europium trivalent ion (Eu3+)-doped silica nanowires were prepared, and the positioning of Eu3+ in the silicon dioxide nanowire matrix was researched. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction analysis (

Nuclear structure studies involving polarised iodine, samarium and europium: experimental techniques and theoretical models [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
Low Temperature Nuclear Orientation (LTNO) is an important technique in the study of nuclei far from stability. The theory of LTNO and its application to the measurement of static nuclear moments and other quantities of spectroscopic interest are ...

Interpreting Europium Anomalies in Zircon: The Importance of Source Redox

open access: yesGeochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems
The sources of granitoids are variably oxidized due to the diversity of environments in which they form. This environmental and consequent chemical variability leads to differences in mineral assemblages, proportions, and compositions of ferric and ...
