Journal of Regional Science, EarlyView.ABSTRACT In response to COVID‐19, Schengen countries temporarily reintroduced internal border controls, disrupting cross‐border integration. Using this policy change as a natural experiment and monthly nighttime lights data, we estimate the short‐run effects on European municipalities.

Advanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 13, Issue 13, 7 July 2026.Femtosecond‐laser texturing of injection‐mould inserts enables scalable engineering of biointerfaces in cyclic olefin copolymer microfluidics. Replicated micro‐ and nano‐topographies modulate surface roughness and wettability, leading to texture‐dependent protein adsorption and cell adhesion without chemical post‐processing.
