Two Plotinian treatises in Eusebius of Caesarea
Eusebius of Cesarea, in his Praeparatio Evangelica, quotes a large piece of Plotinus’ writing to which Porphyry, in his edition of the Enneads, gave the title “On the Immortality of Soul” (IV. 7 [2]). Surprisingly, the piece quoted by Eusebius (now edited as chapters 81 -85 of that treatise) is absent from the Porphyrian edition.
